the alchemist is another producer who recently dropped the cookbook ep. the ep has everyone from the names on this track to pusha t, snoop and jadakiss. real solid ep, so check that out. this is a track that appears on the EP, but the EP version is sans talib kweli, so i figured i'd throw this one out there instead. also, the rest of them will all be household names come 2009. and if no one else does, it'll be kid cudi. endless props for him.

this finna' be another classic, bitch. kweli's been a part of some of my favorite collaborations of all time, this one is no different. in a sense, it's good that these one-off's are just that. having a follow-up to something that you're so used to (especially black star) would make me incredible nervous.

this is kweli's new single, along with the video. i've noticed he's been getting some decent play on mtv, and that's always a good thing. this dude should have been huge years ago. as far as emcees go, he lays most to waste. enjoy his new single, hot thing.

if you are a fan of hip-hop, and you haven't heard this record, then we probably hate you.

there are three reasons why you should love this record:

1. mos def.
2. talib kweli.
3. mos def + talib kweli.

this is one of the most brilliant albums of all time in any genre. two of the most ridiculously underrated emcee's working with each other on what most people would consider a classic. both jerome and i are huge fans of this record, and there is no reason why you shouldn't be either.
