peter bjorn and john - remixes (2009)

in anticipation for their newest album, living thing, two remixes have been dropped. one for "inland empire" off of seaside rock and "lay it down," a new cut. anyway, cop these and cop their single "nothing to worry about," somewhere on the internet.

the cool kids - 88 (chewy chocolate cookies remix) (2009)

i know we've never posted about em before, but after stealing all of the remixes from SSDT, i took a huge liking for all of the remixes by this group/this guy/this batch of cookies. anyway, they just dropped a new mix, and this time for the cool kids' 88, off of the bake sale or totally flossed out or any of the 137964 mixtapes they dropped. get at it.

music video: kid cudi vs. crookers - day 'n' nite (2009)

i'm dumb. i never saw the video he ranted about, so i took it down. don't need cudi yelling at me in all caps. you can still grab the remix here, and the only reason i kept this post was to have an excuse to put up a fly picture.

-dear cudi, don't send grizzly any hate mail.

prince klassen remixes (2008)

prince klassen is one of the few local DJs (austin, tx) worth mentioning. also worth mentioning is that he rolls with central booking, which is all sorts of texas DJ win. he comes through here and spins every once in a while, so that's never a bad thing. i just scoped two remixes/edits of his, so grab em.

treasure fingers - cross the dancefloor (designer drugs remix) (2008)

droppin the ball yet again. the original was one of my (and every other asshole hipster's) favorite songs last year, and designer drugs never seems to make a shitty remix. also, if they ever roll to your city, go party with them.

justin timberlake - follow my lead (2008)

JT is slowly creeping back into the spotlight. he just released a new song/single, "follow my lead" up on his myspace. the song's proceeds will benefit the shriners hospitals for children, which provide free care to children. i'll be hittin that up later since i'm at work, but in the meantime, hop to the remix of "can't believe it" with teddy pain in case you've been under a fucking rock in the last 2 weeks.

vampire weekend - covers and remixes (2008)

vampire weekend is everyone's favorite (or in jerome's case, most hated) group preppy indie dorks. i think they make some solid tunes and i enjoy them thoroughly. here is a fleetwood mac cover, which rules the planet, some cover of a band i've never heard of, and an extremely addictive chromeo remix of "the kids don't stand a chance."
