justice - planisphere (2008)

is it still cool to like justice? i don't give a shit. personally, i've grown tired of the millions of computer nerd turned electro DJs that have been vomited out of american apparels, so any new material from one of the most influential and important duos is good to me. this is pretty much the dior homme mix we posted about earlier, but has been tweaked and touched up on. all i have to say is that there are guitar solos. hot.

also, the duo are working on a cd/dvd called a cross the universe, which shall be a must-own for any asshole who likes to dance. i caught the myspace tour back in march, and it was unreal.

p.s. i was a little dissapointed when i saw pictures of the actual line. dior homme is usually one of the best lines out, but they hit a little on the trendy side with this one. still some ill shit though.

lupe fiasco vs. justice - the coolest vs. let there be light (2008)

so, lupe's opening track at the glow in the dark tour (sorry jerome) was "the coolest" mashed up with justice's "let there be light." needless to say, holy shit. a dj by the name of minimaxX brought this mash-up to fruition and released it to the interwebs. despite the lower quality, i love it.

concert review: justice (march 3, 2008)

before i say anything:

1. i'm not trying to rub this in panda's face
2. number one is a lie
3. apologies for number two

this shit went off. i'll keep it short and simple: don't miss this show.

this was the first time i've seen justice, and they have a hell of a stage presence for two glorified DJs. they pretty much played all of †, we are your friends, and a couple of remixes for the encore, including METALLICA'S MASTER OF PUPPETS (???) no lie.

oh and mehdi was dope as well. fancy was supposed to play, but cancelled. whatevs.

also, i'd like to thank the dipshit in austin, texas who decided to wear a bunny costume and CROWD SURF (yes, not a typo) at a justice show. i'd also like to thank this bunny for kicking me in the face and giving me a nosebleed. i hope you enjoyed the 6 punches to the face/back of the head. it was well worth my ejection from stubbs.

holla back bunny, i live in houston. we have unfinished business. and i won't be wearing a grizzly bear costume.

although justice just released their debut lp earlier this year, they have been building hype for a few minutes. before the release of †, justice released an ep for the track 'waters of nazareth' (which also appears on 07's †) along with a few remixes and demos, and the track 'carpates.' wamp wamp.
